Sentry CrossFlow Oil Skimmer
- Part #
- Sentry CrossFlow
Extend the life of your industrial fluids and streamline your waste processing operations with regular tramp oil skimming and separation.
Sentry’s easy-to-maintain SmartSkim CrossFlow Oil Skimmer ensures your equipment's longevity and team safety by removing free-floating tramp oils from wash tanks, coolant sumps, central coolant systems, and other industrial processes. Based on its gravity flow and coalescence design, the CrossFlow oil separator can reduce tramp oils to less than 1% in a single pass.
Sentry’s open-channel, reduced-clogging oil separator reduces the need for maintenance and enhances longevity by eliminating plastic consumables. Applications that work best for this oil skimmer are:
- water-soluble, semi-synthetic & synthetic coolants from machining and grinding
- rolling and drawing coolants
- alkaline wash waters
- wastewater pre-treatment
- aqueous quench pits
- die casting mold release fluids
However, these oil separators aren’t limited to just these applications. Any use where the separation of two immiscible fluids is required can benefit.
Benefits
- Reduce new fluid purchases by extending the life of your industrial fluids
- Reduce waste volumes by 50% - 90%
- Extend the bath life of parts washers & conserve water
- Improve sump life, tooling, and parts quality in CNC operation
- Reduce misting & improve machine cleanliness
- Manages environmental waste, bacteria levels, and associated odors
Features
- Open Channel coalescing technology is low maintenance. The frequency of cleaning is a fraction of what is typically required.
- Sloped bottom for easy removal of solids and sludge
- Automated system for continuous operation
- 304 stainless steel plate pack
- Gentle flow through the system won't split weak emulsions or remove additives
- The system can handle temperatures up to 250 degrees and flow rates up to 10 GPM based on chemistry
